The Price of Fame is the fifth studio album by American rapper Bow Wow. It was released on December 19, 2006. The first single 'Shortie Like Mine' featuring Chris Brown and Johntá Austin. The second single 'Outta My System'. The third single 'I Don't Know About That'. The fourth and final single was supposed to be '4 Corners', but was never released as a single and a video was not shot. Every track on the album is edited, although explicit versions of songs such as 'Shortie Like Mine', '4 Corners', and 'I Don't Know About That' were recorded.

Nov 07, 2007  Bow Wow opens his fifth CD, The Price of Fame with a solemn interview clip in which the rapper/actor discusses 'the mental breakdown dealing with the price of fame,' thus setting the stage for a deeply emotive release. For a handful of tracks, he does exactly that, showing fans-and his competition- just how refreshing that can be.

The album debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 chart, with 262,001 copies sold in the first-week of sales.[3] A month later the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with an excess of 1,000,000 copies.[4] Producers and guest appearances are featured on the album, including Jermaine Dupri, Chris Brown, Johntá Austin, Young Jinsu, The late Pimp C, T-Pain, Lil Scrappy, Short Dawg, Khleo Thomas, Young Capone, R. Kelly, Nitty, Lil Ronnie, among others. As of November 26, 2008 the album has sold 1,600,000 copies in the U.S.
