CLa Drums Mono Stereo

When creating the CLA Drums plugin, I had one thing in mind: Anyone who uses it can get a great drum sound for any song and any mix and just have fun! There are six different modes: Kick, Snare, Toms, Overheads, Room and, of course, my favorite, Cowbell. Mar 04, 2014  I'm mixing my drums in mono for my current project. It was more of a whim, but now I'm really digging the sound. By having my drums and bass occupying the center area, I've got a lot of freedom in the stereo image. More freedom than I had with stereo drums. Anyway, anyone else have any tips for mixing mono? I can now pan the drums hard if I want.

I had been reading a lot of very positive reviews, concerning the 'Waves CLA Artist Signature Collection' and was dying to hear the result myself.
It's basically a software processing bundle, making it easier for the musician who possibly might not have the greatest knowledge within the field of audio engineering, making it possible to emulate the mixing and processing style of Chris Lord Alge. The plugin is made to closely and very precisely emulate the signal flow Chris Lord Alge would use on specific applications, such as compressor presets, EQ presets, Reverb presets etc.
The bundle comes with processing presets for: bass, guitar, unplugged, vocal, drums and effects.
Each processing preset has it's own very nice design in the style of a mixer, where as each fader is dedicated to it's own purpose such as, compression, Low and High EQ etc. For example if you want a mix with a fast attacking compression whilst boosting the highs and adding a bit more reverb on a snare track for example, you simply just move each assigned fader up or down until you have the desired mix.
Now thats the simple stuff out of the way. What I really found this useful for, was to experiment with changing the dedicated presets for the dedicated application. Bacaan takhtim almutakabbirul khalikul. I tried running a guitar through the bass preset to get that beefy low end, boosted the compression. The final result I got was amazing! The plugin manages to add extreme characteristics, so close to the actual sound of a 1176 into a Neve channel strip. I was highly impressed, and thought of other creative things manipulate with! I recorded a vocal through the guitar plugin, and got a beautiful gritty sounding vocal, without being over the top. I also tried mixing a mono drum recording through the unplugged, and managed to create an amazing sounding mix, from just one mic!
The plugin is amazing at what it's aim for, but becomes even more fun when experiment as it packs great flexibility, allowing your mind to wonder of, and keeping the creativity juices flowing. This is both good news for the musician aiming to make a great sounding demo, or if your the engineer who needs to deliver a perfect sounding mix as soon as possible? The package is worth every single penny, both back with beauty, style, character and performance. You get it all.
If I had to chose one plugin bundle, I would chose this one!
